Hello!

I’m a freelance writer and photographer.

My passion is using text and images to bring stories to life.

I’m active in several fields – from social justice to the arts.

I’ve 30 years experience in blogs, websites, magazines, books and exhibitions.

Past clients have included BBC TV, Channel Four TV, The Guardian, Londonist.com, NCVO, disability charities, children’s book publishers, music record labels.

I’ve edited three award-winning magazines – including BBC TV See Hear!, One in Seven, NDCS Families. Three times winner of the Memcom Magazine of the Year Award.

My work was selected by UK’s leading photography magazine to appear in their prestigious Portrait of Britain 2018 book.

Author of highly-acclaimed biography ‘Painting With Sound – The Life and Music of Hans-Joachim Roedelius’ (reviewed in The Guardian, Times, Mojo, The Wire, Jazzwise).

After 25 fantastic years working in charity senior management for Action for Hearing Loss and National Deaf Children’s Society, I’ve now returned to my creative roots as a writer and photographer.

Currently supporting the Audiovisability project to bring together deaf and hearing writers, artists and musicians to innovate new art forms.

If you have a project you’d like to discuss, get in touch!
